Baku: Weekly information on operations carried out by organizations involved in mine clearance activities in the liberated territories has been announced, ANAMA told APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 77 anti-personnel mines, 100 anti-tank mines, and 1,584 unexploded ordnance were discovered across several regions including Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavend, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan. The mines and unexploded ordnance were also found in liberated villages such as Baganis Ayrim, Ashagi Eskipara, Xeyrimli, and Gizilhajili in the Gazakh region.
The report highlighted that a total of 1,497.5 hectares of land have been successfully cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and rehabilitation of these territories following their liberation. The mine clearance activities are crucial for the resettlement and development of the affected regions.
