Baku: The Great Return programme to Azerbaijan's liberated territories continues in accordance with instructions from President Ilham Aliyev. At this stage, 18 families comprising 82 people have been relocated to Guzeykhirman village and 21 families comprising 103 people to Guneykhirman village in the Khojavand district. Another 11 families comprising 39 people have been relocated to Kichik Galadarasi village in the Shusha district, APA reports. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the returning families had previously been temporarily accommodated in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings. The residents thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state support provided to them. They also expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani Army and its soldiers and officers for liberating the country's lands from occupation. The returnees paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the territories. Including the latest relocation on August 17, 2026, a total of 9,557 families comprising 38,612 people will have resettled in 47 communities across one city and 10 districts.
