Baku: On August 19, another shipment from Russia to Armenia was transported in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan. A train carrying 1,820 tons of wheat in 26 wagons was dispatched from Bilajari station to Boyuk Kesik.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, to date, nearly 43,000 tons of grain, 9,000 tons of fertilizer, 1,136 tons of propane, 133 tons of aluminum, 1,114 tons of coal, and 67 tons of timber have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan. These transit operations underline the active transportation link between the countries through Azerbaijani territory.
In addition to transit cargo, Azerbaijan has also been actively exporting petroleum products to Armenia. To date, nearly 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline have been exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia, further indicating the collaborative economic activities in the region.
