Baku: The Baku Initiative Group has unveiled the first Virtual Museum dedicated to colonialism, revealing that around 60 percent of the museum's content was developed through research and analysis by its members. Abbas Abbasov, the Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group, announced during the museum's presentation that local communities and experts also contributed some of the information.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Abbasov expressed optimism that these contributions would expand in the coming months. He mentioned the potential to gather more details from indigenous peoples and independent experts specializing in colonial history and decolonization. Abbasov emphasized that the platform offers extensive opportunities for collaboration and that partnerships with various think tanks, international organizations, and global institutions are expected to further enrich the museum's database and enhance its scientific value.
