Baku: Argentina's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mari¡ngeles Bellusci, visited the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) on June 3, marking a significant step in the enhancement of educational and cultural ties between the two nations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the meeting, AUL Rector Kamal Abdulla highlighted the increasing momentum in Azerbaijan-Argentina relations, particularly in the fields of science, culture, and education. He expressed admiration for Argentine literature, citing writer Borges as a significant influence, and acknowledged the longstanding partnership between the university and the Argentine Embassy, which enriches the educational experience of AUL students and faculty by exposing them to Argentine culture.
Ambassador Bellusci commended the flourishing partnership and emphasized the importance of strengthening connections with AUL. She acknowledged the proficiency of AUL students, many of whom have gone on to work in Spanish-speaking embassies. Highlighting the ongoing collaboration, she mentioned an AUL student's internship at the embassy, during which the student translated an Argentine film that was subsequently screened at the university. The ambassador underscored the role of cultural exchanges, such as film screenings, in fostering mutual understanding and appreciation between the two countries.
