Garni: Exports from Armenia to Azerbaijan could become a reality in the near future, as stated by Armenian Economy Minister Gevork Papoyan. During a discussion with journalists in Garni, Papoyan highlighted the potential for Armenian products to enter the Azerbaijani market, an initiative that follows a successful transit price agreement with the Georgian Railways company. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Papoyan emphasized the significance of the recent agreement, noting that it paves the way for increased trade opportunities. He mentioned that Armenia is poised to export a variety of products to Azerbaijan, including aluminum, foil, fruits, vegetables, beverages, and textile products. The minister explained that research has identified several Armenian goods that align with Azerbaijani import needs, suggesting a mutually beneficial trade relationship could develop. Papoyan also indicated that further negotiations involving Georgia and Azerbaijan are anticipated, with the hopes of reaching additional agreements that could enhance regional trade. The minister's comments reflect a broader strategy aimed at expanding Armenia's economic footprint through strategic exports, leveraging existing and emerging transit routes in the region.
