YEREVAN: Armenia has been officially invited to attend the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, scheduled to take place in Baku. The invitation was directed to Armenia’s Foreign Minister, Ararat Mirzoyan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, confirmed the receipt of the invitation. The participation of Armenia in COP29 is seen as a significant step in the country’s ongoing engagement with international climate discussions. The conference is a pivotal forum for global negotiations on climate change, where countries collaborate to develop strategies to combat environmental challenges.
