Armenian President Approves Border Delimitation Regulations with Azerbaijan

YEREVAN: The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, has ratified the work regulations for commissions tasked with the delimitation of borders with Azerbaijan. This development marks a significant step in addressing the longstanding territorial disputes between the two neighboring countries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Armenian Parliament had earlier approved the draft law concerning these regulations on October 23. The legislation garnered the support of 67 Members of Parliament, exclusively from the ruling “Civil Contract” party, who were present for the vote. This approval sets the framework for the commissions that will oversee the complex process of border delimitation and demarcation, a critical aspect of diplomatic negotiations and regional stability between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
