Ganja: Today marks the fourth anniversary of Armenia's fifth missile attack on Ganja, Azerbaijan, which occurred during the night of October 17, 2020, resulting in the deaths of 16 civilians and injuries to 55 others. According to Trend News Agency, the attack targeted the heart of Ganja city, causing significant casualties and damage. Armenia's military-political leadership is accused of violating international laws and conventions, including the Geneva Convention and UN resolutions. The leadership's actions during the conflict are described as terror against civilians, deliberately targeting non-military structures. Over the course of the conflict, Ganja suffered five missile and heavy artillery attacks, resulting in a total of 26 deaths and 175 injuries, alongside substantial damage to civilian infrastructure and vehicles. The 44-day war, which began on September 27, 2020, led to the deaths of 93 Azerbaijani civilians, with 444 more wounded. Victims included 54 men, 27 women, and 12 children. The repor t also noted the detention of Arayik Harutyunyan, the former leader of the Karabakh separatists, by Azerbaijan's State Security Service. Harutyunyan was reportedly involved in orchestrating the attacks on Ganja's civilian population during the conflict.
