Moscow: An arrest warrant in absentia has been issued against Shahin Shikhlinsky, the head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Yekaterinburg. The Basmanny court of Moscow made this decision, marking a significant development in the legal proceedings against Shikhlinsky.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Shahin Shikhlinsky faces accusations of participating in the attempted murder of Fehruz Shirinov. Additionally, he is charged with violence against a representative of the authorities. These serious allegations have prompted the court to issue the arrest warrant, although Shikhlinsky’s current whereabouts remain unknown. The case has attracted considerable attention, given Shikhlinsky’s prominent position within the Azerbaijani community in Yekaterinburg.
