Assistant of Azerbaijani President Highlights Tragic Story Through Photo of President Ilham Aliyev and Little Nilay

Baku: Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, recently shared a poignant image on his social media account, capturing President Ilham Aliyev holding the hand of little Nilay. Nilay, a young girl who lost her parents and loved ones in the 2020 missile attack on Ganja by Armenian armed forces during the 44 Days of War, is at the center of this touching photograph.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hajiyev, who also serves as the Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, described the image as ‘talking photos.’ He emphasized that the photograph itself conveys the entire tragic narrative without the need for words, underscoring the profound impact of the conflict on innocent lives.

The image serves as a stark reminder of the personal losses suffered during the conflict, with the President’s gesture symbolizing solace and compassion towards those affected. The post by Hajiyev aims to bring attention to the ongoing struggles faced by victims like Nilay in the aftermath of the war.
