Austrian Firm Eyes Strategic Partnership with Turkmenbashi International Sea Port

Turkmenbashi: The Turkmenbashi International Sea Port could soon see enhanced operations and technological advancements, as Austrian company M. and D. Gertner Ges.m.b.H has shown a keen interest in establishing a partnership, particularly in the supply of spare parts for port equipment. The potential cooperation was discussed during a recent visit by an Austrian delegation to the port, as reported by Trend via official Turkmen media.

According to Trend News Agency, the discussions took place amidst a tour of the port’s facilities, where the Austrian company’s representatives were introduced to the port’s capabilities, installed equipment, and the services it offers. The company’s CEO, Alexander Massinger, was impressed with the infrastructure and pinpointed the potential for a fruitful partnership.

Massinger emphasized that the initiative would include a visit by a comprehensive group of company representatives to Turkmenistan in November 2024, suggesting a serious commitment to the potential collaboration.
Both parties expressed optimism about the partnership, noting that it could significantly enhance the technological base and infrastructure of the Turkmen port.
