Uzbekistan: Uzbekistan and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) have engaged in discussions focusing on the advancement of sustainable and comprehensive development projects in rural areas, as reported by Trend News Agency.

According to Trend News Agency, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, Samandar Sadullayev, along with representatives from the IsDB, reviewed ongoing projects aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and governance in rural districts. The discussions emphasized the importance of improving primary infrastructure in selected villages, strengthening local governance through active participation with residents, and promoting citizen involvement in governance processes.

During the deliberations, IsDB also evaluated the cooperation program spanning 2022 to 2026, examining the current progress and execution of its projects. Feedback collected during the meeting will contribute to refining the strategies and objectives of the developmental initiatives.

Furthermore, it was highlighte
d that significant progress had been made under these projects across various regions of Uzbekistan. The sustainable development project has already impacted 170 mahallas across 20 districts in Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Navoi, and Khorezm. Meanwhile, the second stage of the comprehensive development project has reached 157 mahallas in 21 districts of Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya regions.
