Average Price of Azerbaijani Oil Dropped by 18.5% Last Year

Baku: The average price of Azerbaijani oil last year amounted to $68.5, Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, said at a briefing held today, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nasirov noted that this figure stood at $84 in 2024, indicating a significant decrease of 18.5% in the average oil price over the previous year. The announcement highlights the volatility in the global oil market, impacting the economic landscape of oil-producing nations like Azerbaijan.

Additionally, the price for one thousand cubic meters of natural gas was reported to be $289, marking a 5.5% increase. This rise in natural gas prices contrasts with the decline in oil prices and reflects different dynamics in the energy sector. The reported figures are crucial as they provide insight into the economic trends and energy resource management strategies in Azerbaijan.
