Baku: The worn-out medal of another Azerbaijani athlete who competed at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics will be replaced with a new one. The silver medal of boxer Alfonso Dominguez (92kg) has deteriorated and is no longer in usable condition. In the coming days, he will contact Azerbaijan's National Olympic Committee (NOC) to initiate the replacement process. The medal will be sent to France and exchanged for a new one.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the bronze medals won in Paris by freestyle wrestlers Magomedkhan Magomedov (97kg) and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125kg) remain in good condition and will not be replaced. Earlier, the silver medal of taekwondo athlete Gashim Magomedov and the bronze medal of Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov have already been replaced. The new medals are scheduled to be delivered to Azerbaijan's NOC by March 20.
