Washington: An awareness-raising campaign dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held in Washington, the U.S. capital. The initiative of the American-Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Association was supported by Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the campaign involved trucks with LED screens displaying the realities of the Khojaly genocide. These vehicles drove through the central streets of Washington, screening slogans such as 'Honoring the victims, cherishing their memory', 'From tragedy to memory - Khojaly lives on', 'Raise awareness, seek justice, and stand in solidarity', and 'Khojaly - their courage and pain remain with us', emphasizing the ongoing impact of the tragedy 34 years later.
The vehicles also featured a QR code providing detailed information about the tragedy. Similar rallies were held in various cities across the U.S., including New York and Boston, as part of the broader effort to raise awareness and honor the victims of the Khojaly genocide.
