President Ilham Aliyev Evaluates Reconstruction Efforts in Khojavend Village

Khojavend: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev assessed the reconstruction efforts in Khojavend village, Khojavend district. Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President for Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, provided a briefing to the president and the First Lady on the social infrastructure projects underway in the village.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Khojavend village, part of the Khojavend administrative territorial district, was liberated from occupation by Azerbaijani Armed Forces in September 2023. The village comprises 278 private houses, with 128 deemed unfit for habitation and 150 partially habitable. Renovations have been completed on 20 of these partially habitable houses, with plans to repair an additional 130 houses within the year.

This February saw the return of 20 families, totaling 94 individuals, to the village. Plans are in place to resettle an additional 130 families, comprising 533 people, between March and December.

Significant infrastructure developments have been realized, including the installation of a 5-kilometer gas supply line and the restoration of 1,500 meters of existing network. Additionally, 2,100 meters of 0.4 kV power lines and two transformer stations have been rehabilitated. Road paving and pedestrian path construction are ongoing.

After the inspection, President Ilham Aliyev, along with First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Arzu Aliyeva, visited the home of Rizvan Ibrahimov, who has resettled in the village, to observe the living conditions and engage in conversation.
