Baku: Azerbaijan’s national airline, AZAL, has announced plans to expand its flight operations by introducing additional routes to Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport and extending its existing services to Batumi.

According to Trend News Agency, starting from November 8, 2024, AZAL will operate extra flights on the route Baku-Dubai-Baku. These flights are scheduled for November 8, 11, 13, and 20, 2024, and will be conducted from Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku to Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai. This airport is strategically located close to several accommodations, which could provide convenience for travelers.

In addition to the Dubai expansion, AZAL will also prolong its flight services to Batumi, Georgia. The Baku-Batumi-Baku route is now extended until January 12, 2025, with flights available twice a week on Fridays and Sundays. This extension aims to facilitate winter travel plans for passengers heading to the popular Georgian resort.
