Tbilisi: Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has successfully transported 358,291 passengers to Georgia from January to September this year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this data was provided by the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency.
During this period, AZAL captured 6% of Georgia’s aviation market share. The airline ranked sixth among the top ten airlines in terms of passenger numbers to Georgia. The leading carriers were Wizz Air, which transported 1,065,618 passengers, followed by Georgian Airways with 509,238 passengers, and Turkish Airlines, which carried 458,370 passengers.
In comparison to the previous year, AZAL saw a slight decrease in passenger numbers, having carried 412,980 passengers to Georgia in the same period last year.
