Masdar Azerbaijan Warns Renewable Energy Could Destabilize Grid

Baku: Renewable energy sources could lead to instability in the energy system if proper measures are not taken, stated Murad Sadigov, Director of ‘Masdar Azerbaijan’ LLC, during the 13th International Caspian Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports. Sadigov emphasized the critical need for energy storage systems to prevent potential disruptions.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sadigov revealed that Masdar Azerbaijan is constructing three renewable energy power plants, consisting of two solar and one wind facility. An impact assessment report is being prepared for these projects, focusing on their integration into the overall electricity grid. Various scenarios are being developed based on the grid model to ensure stability.

Sadigov further mentioned that once grid stability is assured, the company plans to optimally integrate these renewable energy plants into the existing energy infrastructure.
