BAKU: Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged France to cease its alleged disruptive activities in the region, highlighting a conflict over France's stance on regional issues and its foreign policy decisions. According to Trend News Agency, Aykhan Hajizada, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, criticized the French foreign policy during a response to statements made by Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. Hajizada dismissed claims that Azerbaijan was acting against international law, arguing that France had no evidence to support such accusations and criticized France's portrayal of Armenia as a victim. Hajizada further expressed dismay over France's failure to acknowledge the displacement of nearly a million Azerbaijanis, the massacres, and crimes against humanity allegedly committed by Armenia. He highlighted the inconsistency of France's actions with its self-proclaimed role as a promoter of international law and justice. The spokesperson reiterated Azerbaijan's call for France to end what he described as its failed foreign policy actions in the region, which he believes only serve to exacerbate tensions.
