Azerbaijan Advances Resettlement Efforts in Khojavand’s Sos Village

Khojavand: Azerbaijan continues its resettlement initiative as displaced families receive house keys in Sos village. Today, families relocated to the area were officially handed the keys to their new homes, as reported by APA’s Karabakh bureau.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, residents were educated by ANAMA staff on the risks associated with mines and unexploded ordnance. They were instructed to avoid unfamiliar objects and report any encounters to the authorities.

The key handover ceremony saw attendance from officials representing the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, alongside members of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, among other entities. The families have now settled into their homes.

In this phase of resettlement, 20 families, comprising 80 individuals, have been relocated to Sos village. These families were previously housed in temporary accommodations such as dormitories, sanatoriums, pioneer camps, unfinished structures, and administrative buildings spread across different regions. Comprehensive conditions have been established for their new settlement.

The arrival of the next relocation caravan has been confirmed in Sos village, Khojavand district, as noted by APA’s Karabakh bureau. The relocated families had been residing temporarily in various facilities, with the current phase moving 20 families, totaling 80 people, to their new homes.
