Azerbaijan Aims to Lead in Regional Industrial Safety: Agency Chief

Baku: Azerbaijan is poised to become one of the safest industrial nations in the region, as stated by Vusal Aghayev, the head of the State Agency for Safe Working in Industry and Mountain-Mining Control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Aghayev made these remarks during his speech at the 3rd Industrial Safety Summit held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Aghayev highlighted that industrial safety is evolving beyond a mere technical concern. It is now considered a fundamental component of national security, stability, resilience, and the protection of human life. He noted that the strategic direction established by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan focuses on enhancing the safety culture, reducing risks, and bolstering innovation-oriented management. The Ministry of Emergency Situations is actively implementing this strategy in a comprehensive and proactive manner.

The 3rd Industrial Safety Summit is organized jointly by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, SOCAR, and the Azerbaijan Industrial Safety Association (AISA).
