Azerbaijan Allocates Additional AZN 125 Million for Education Sector


Baku: Azerbaijan has announced an increase in projected education spending for the upcoming years, as outlined in the draft state budget’s functional classification for 2026 and the three years following.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the education sector in Azerbaijan is set to receive AZN 5.063 billion in 2025, marking an increase of approximately AZN 126 million or 2.5% compared to the previous year. This rise in funding reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing educational resources and infrastructure.



Projections for subsequent years indicate a steady increase in education spending, with allocations expected to reach AZN 5.139 billion in 2027, AZN 5.221 billion in 2028, and AZN 5.302 billion in 2029. These figures underscore the government’s ongoing efforts to prioritize education as a key area of development in the country.
