Baku: Azerbaijan has announced the allocation of 39 million manats to support the operation of Karabakh University in 2026. This funding will ensure the university’s smooth functioning and expansion as it prepares to accommodate a growing student population.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft 2026 state budget package outlines plans for the university to enroll up to 2,500 students across six fields and 34 specialties, including 100 students in the field of medicine. With these developments, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the number of students residing and studying in dormitories is projected to reach up to 4,000.
