Azerbaijan Allocates Nearly AZN 5 Billion for Construction in Liberated Territories

Baku: Azerbaijan allocated nearly AZN 5 billion for construction and installation works in territories liberated from occupation last year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, which based its calculations on the State Statistical Committee's report, a total of 4 billion 911.2 million manats from all financial sources were spent in these regions in 2025.

The largest amounts were directed toward specific districts, with Kalbajar receiving 994.6 million 11 thousand manats, Aghdam receiving 740 million manats, and Zangilan receiving 731 million manats. These investments are part of Azerbaijan's broader effort to rebuild and restore areas affected by past conflicts.

In the previous year, 21 billion 226.1 million manats were invested in fixed capital across Azerbaijan, with 16 billion 18 million manats specifically allocated for construction and installation works. The expenditures in the liberated territories accounted for 30.7% of the total national spending on construction and installation during the period.

Additionally, 4 billion 465.7 million manats from the 2025 state budget have been allocated for the reconstruction and restoration of these liberated territories, highlighting the significant financial commitment to their redevelopment.
