Baku: The circulation of civilian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Azerbaijan will now require a special permit. This development comes as part of an amendment to the existing law that governs items with restricted civil circulation.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendment to the Law on the List of Items That May Belong to Certain Participants of Civil Circulation and Whose Circulation Is Permitted on the Basis of a Special Permit was officially approved through a presidential decree by President Ilham Aliyev. This legal adjustment signifies a regulated approach towards the use of UAVs in civilian contexts within the country.
