Azerbaijan and Algeria Explore Energy Cooperation Prospects

Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, held a video conference with Algeria's Minister of State and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, to discuss prospects for expanding energy cooperation between their countries. The dialogue is aimed at strengthening the bilateral relationship in the energy sector and beyond.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Shahbazov stated that the meeting with Arkab focused on preparations for the inaugural session of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation. The ministers deliberated on extending their collaboration beyond hydrocarbons and OPEC+ involvement to include electricity, renewable energy, trade, agriculture, industry, pharmaceuticals, and education. Shahbazov shared these insights on X, highlighting the comprehensive nature of their discussions.
