NEW YORK – In a significant diplomatic engagement, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with his Bosnian counterpart, Elmedin Konakovic, during the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ministers' discussion was multifaceted, focusing on enhancing the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Topics included political, economic, and cultural cooperation, alongside the potential for joint initiatives in tourism, agriculture, industry, high technologies, and transport.
During the meeting, Minister Bayramov highlighted the upcoming COP29 Conference in Azerbaijan as a pivotal opportunity for advancing cooperation across new sectors. He also provided an update on Azerbaijan’s post-conflict recovery efforts in territories liberated from occupation, emphasizing the progress in mine clearance and the normalization process with Armenia.
The dialogue underscored a shared commitment to deepening ties across various domains, reflecting the potential for substantial bilateral achievements in the near future.
