Baku: Azerbaijan and Brazil have taken a significant step towards strengthening their bilateral relations by signing a Joint Customs Cooperation Plan set for 2026. This initiative aims to bolster the institutional framework for cooperation between the two nations, focusing on future collaborative activities in customs operations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Head of the Customs Administration of Brazil's Federal Revenue Service, Fabiano Coelho, visited Azerbaijan on July 27. This visit facilitated the signing of the cooperation plan, underscoring both countries' commitment to enhancing their customs services through mutual collaboration.

During his visit, Coelho toured the Target Center at the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan. Here, he received a comprehensive presentation detailing the recent advancements in the country's customs service, including digital transformation initiatives, artificial intelligence-based solutions, innovative projects, and modern management strategies.
