Baku: The wildfires that erupted in the open areas near Kangarli and Papravand villages in Azerbaijan's Aghdam district have been successfully extinguished. Crews from the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations managed to control the flames before they could spread further, despite challenging conditions including the presence of landmines and strong winds.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry of Emergency Situations released a statement confirming the successful containment of the wildfires. The swift response by the fire protection service prevented the fires from escalating, ensuring the safety of the surrounding areas. The situation was particularly precarious due to the mined nature of the affected regions, which posed significant risks to the firefighting efforts.
The Ministry's press service highlighted the dedication and efficiency of the firefighting teams in overcoming the obstacles presented by both the terrain and the weather conditions. Their efforts were crucial in mitigating potential damage and ensuring the safety of nearby communities.
