Baku: Samaddin Asadov, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, met with a delegation from China to explore ways to enhance cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors, as reported by the Ministry to APA-Economics. The Chinese delegation comprised representatives from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the discussions centered on Azerbaijan’s role as an early supporter of China’s Belt and Road initiative, with a particular focus on the Middle Corridor. Samaddin Asadov highlighted Azerbaijan’s investments in transport infrastructure over the past two decades and updated the Chinese delegation on the ongoing construction of the Zangezur corridor. This project is expected to aid in the diversification of regional communications and contribute to peace and prosperity in the region.
