Lianyungang: At the invitation of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China (PRC), a delegation led by Colonel General Ali Naghiyev, Chief of the State Security Service (SSS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited Lianyungang city in Jiangsu Province, APA reports, citing the Press Service of the State Security Service.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation participated in the 5th Global Public Security Cooperation Forum. This event was attended by high-ranking officials from various countries and international organizations. Discussions at the forum included topics such as combating terrorism, strengthening international partnerships, and applying new technologies in the field of security, as well as improving governance mechanisms.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the adoption of a final document titled '2026 Action Plan on Global Counter-Terrorism'. This document outlines strategic steps and collaborative efforts necessary to enhance global security measures and counter-terrorism initiatives over the coming years.
The visit culminated in the signing of an Agreement on cooperation in the field of ensuring security between Azerbaijan's State Security Service and China's Ministry of Public Security. This agreement signifies a strengthened partnership between the two nations in their mutual efforts to address security challenges and enhance public safety.
