Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has announced significant developments in the economic and military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and China. During an interview with local television channels, he emphasized the ongoing efforts to establish joint ventures with China, stating that work in this area has already commenced.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the impact of the signing of two critical documents between Azerbaijan and China within a year-a strategic partnership agreement followed by a comprehensive strategic partnership. These agreements have substantially boosted bilateral economic relations between the two nations. President Aliyev also noted that the trade volume between Azerbaijan and China has surpassed 4 billion dollars, with Chinese companies beginning to invest actively in sectors such as renewable energy and transportation in Azerbaijan.

President Aliyev further pointed out that Azerbaijan is considered a priority partner for China in the region. He elaborated on the military-technical cooperation that has started as part of the political agreements reached between the two countries. This cooperation was partially showcased at a recent military parade, and President Aliyev expressed optimism about the mutual interest in expanding this collaboration. Beyond acquiring military equipment, Azerbaijan is working on establishing joint ventures with China, marking a new phase in their bilateral relationship.
