Baku: Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna, the Ministry told APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting highlighted the expansion of economic and trade cooperation between Azerbaijan and Estonia. Notably, trade turnover between the two countries has more than doubled from January to September this year. Investment cooperation remains a crucial aspect of their economic relations, with around 65 Estonian companies operating in Azerbaijan across various sectors, including industry, transport, construction, trade, and services. The meeting explored opportunities to strengthen joint activities in areas such as energy, alternative energy, transport, ICT, and pharmaceuticals.
The discussions also evaluated the potential for enhancing business, trade, and investment relations. Estonian companies’ participation in projects within Azerbaijan’s liberated territories was a focal point, alongside the exchange of expertise in implementing digital solutions within the private sector.
