Azerbaijan and Ethiopia Advance Judicial Cooperation Talks


BAKU—Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, engaged in discussions on Saturday with his Ethiopian counterpart, Tesfaye Wakjira, focusing on enhancing judicial cooperation and sharing best practices in public service delivery.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Ahmadov underscored the robust ties between Azerbaijan and Ethiopia, both bilaterally and within international frameworks. He highlighted ongoing digitalization efforts and training within Azerbaijan’s judicial system and mentioned existing legal cooperation documents with 34 countries, signaling potential for expanded relations with Ethiopia. Tesfaye Wakjira, emphasizing Addis Ababa’s role as Africa’s political capital, expressed Ethiopia’s interest in Azerbaijan’s judicial reforms and public service model, and discussed drafting documents for mutual legal interaction.



The meeting encapsulated a significant dialogue on future judicial cooperation and various issues of shared interest between the two nations.
