Istanbul: On June 8, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, met with Maka Botchorishvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, during the 10th trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia. Key topics included political dialogue, economic and trade relations, energy security, transport and communication projects, and regional cooperation.

The ministers highlighted the importance of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, which are based on mutual trust and good neighborliness. They emphasized that these relations are crucial for the stability and development of the region. The meeting underscored the regional and global significance of joint projects in the energy and transport sectors, such as the Southern Gas Corridor, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route, and the Middle Corridor.

The discussions also covered regional security and efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus. Both parties acknowledged that the trilateral cooperation format between Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye plays a vital role in enhancing regional prosperity, energy, and transport connections. They expressed a commitment to further develop this cooperation in the future.

In addition, the meeting addressed other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
