Rabat:Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, held a meeting with Gerlind Heckmann, Head of the Sub-Department for Foreign Trade Promotion and Financing for Ukraine, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia at Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, both parties highlighted the potential for expanding economic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany. They stressed the importance of utilizing existing opportunities to diversify their relations and implement new joint projects, aiming to strengthen cooperation.

The meeting also involved discussions on fostering effective partnerships in the energy sector and supporting collaboration in industry and technology. Additionally, they planned to coordinate initiatives currently under discussion and considered organizing meetings of the Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council and the Germany-Azerbaijan High-Level Working Group on Trade and Investment.
