Athens: The next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Hellenic Republic took place in Athens on May 12. The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou headed the Greek delegation. The meeting focused on reviewing the current state of political dialogue between the two nations, with an emphasis on the importance of regular mutual visits at various levels.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the consultations also included discussions on the prospects for developing cooperation in trade, economy, humanitarian affairs, science, and education. Furthermore, the dialogue addressed strategic energy and transport projects involving Azerbaijan. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the ongoing contacts and cooperation within international organizations.

During the meeting, detailed information was provided about the current regional situation, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the extensive restoration, reconstruction, and demining efforts in the territories liberated from occupation. Both parties also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
