Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, held a meeting with Tam¡s Torma, the Hungarian Ambassador, to discuss the potential for energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary. The discussions underscored the importance of the energy sector in fostering bilateral relations and emphasized Azerbaijan's role in enhancing Hungary's energy security and diversifying its energy sources.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting lauded the ongoing successful partnerships with MOL Group and MVM Group in Azerbaijan's gas supply and the oil and gas production sectors. The participation of MVM in the joint venture for the Shafag solar power project was noted as a significant contributor to strengthening ties between the two nations. The Hungarian Ambassador expressed his country's interest in collaborating with Azerbaijan on the restoration of liberated areas and on green energy initiatives.
The dialogue also covered the implementation of the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor project and preparations for the upcoming 12th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council.
