Baku: A Memorandum of Understanding on the Continuous Monitoring Mechanism within the framework of the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme in the field of aviation safety between Azerbaijan and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) will be approved, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this development is outlined in the draft law titled ‘On the Approval of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Civil Aviation Organization on the Continuous Monitoring Mechanism within the Framework of the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP).’ This draft law is part of the agenda for the extended meeting of the Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Connections of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) scheduled for May 14.

The meeting is expected to deliberate on the implications of this MoU, which aims to enhance aviation safety through continuous monitoring. The collaboration between Azerbaijan and ICAO signifies a commitment to uphold and improve safety standards in the aviation sector.
