Baku: The State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan and Indonesia's Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform recently held an online symposium focused on public services. The event was part of ongoing efforts stemming from a Memorandum of Understanding signed on July 24, 2017, and an Action Plan agreed upon on July 1, 2024, in Jakarta.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the symposium aimed to enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two countries, leveraging the ASAN Khidmet model. This model has been instrumental in establishing more than 300 Public Service Centers in Indonesia, providing innovative approaches and management mechanisms in public service delivery.

Key speakers at the symposium included Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations, and Rini Widyantini, Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform. They stressed the importance of organizing public services in a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centered manner. Both officials underscored the need to expand bilateral cooperation in public service reform.

Rini Widyantini highlighted the trust and inspiration ASAN Khidmet has garnered among citizens and international partners, reinforcing its role as a model in public service provision. The symposium, attended by 300 participants from both nations, featured a Q and A session, allowing for a robust exchange of views on future cooperation and joint activities in areas of mutual interest.
