Azerbaijan and Indonesia Sign Memorandum to Boost Public Audit Cooperation

Sharm el-sheikh: A delegation led by Vugar Gulmammadov, Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, engaged in discussions with representatives from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia during the XXV Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) in Egypt. The Chamber of Accounts informed APA that the meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding designed to enhance collaboration in public audit.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the signing ceremony was followed by discussions about the potential cooperative initiatives under the new Memorandum and the development of future joint action plans. Dr. Isma Yatun, Chairperson of the Audit Board of Indonesia, highlighted the necessity of regular meetings to explore new avenues for cooperation. She also extended an invitation to Chairman Vugar Gulmammadov for an official visit to Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital.

The announcement also noted that the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia has been chosen as the next host for the INTOSAI Congress and will lead the organization from 2028 to 2031.
