Tehran: Azerbaijan and Iran engaged in discussions on the regulation of cross-border mobile communications during a meeting held in Tehran, as reported by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) to APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting included participation from specialists representing the Ministry, the Agency for Information and Communication Technologies, the State Radio Frequencies Administration, and mobile communication operators from Azerbaijan. The discussions focused on regulating existing and future mobile communication networks in the border areas of the two countries, resulting in necessary technical agreements.
The meeting also reviewed progress on agreements made in Baku from June 10-12, 2025, regarding TV and FM radio broadcasts and the release of 700/800 MHz bands. Both parties decided to continue their cooperation on these issues.
