Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, met with Berik Aryn, Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), to explore avenues for agricultural cooperation. The discussions centered on Azerbaijan's ongoing collaboration with international organizations to adopt advanced agricultural practices. Minister Mammadov emphasized Azerbaijan's commitment to contributing to initiatives that address global challenges and expressed keen interest in establishing a productive partnership with the IOFS.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Director General Berik Aryn outlined the activities and projects undertaken by the IOFS, highlighting the organization's focus on fostering cooperation with Azerbaijan in the agricultural sector. Aryn expressed eagerness to enhance agricultural collaboration between the IOFS and Azerbaijan.
The meeting addressed the forthcoming completion of Azerbaijan's accession to the IOFS, efforts to increase trade turnover in agricultural products among IOFS member countries, and the facilitation of trade. Discussions also revolved around implementing international projects aligned with Azerbaijan's national interests and agricultural policy priorities, strengthening business ties among member countries, transferring modern technologies, and launching scientific research and educational internship programs in agriculture. Other issues of mutual interest were also examined during the meeting.
