UAE Leader Engages in Phone Conversation with Azerbaijani President on Regional Tensions

Abu dhabi: President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made a phone call to President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as reported by the Press Service of the President and sourced through APA. The call, which took place on March 5, was focused on discussing the recent attack on Azerbaijani territory by unmanned aerial vehicles from the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the conversation, President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan condemned the attack and extended wishes for a swift recovery to those impacted.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also took the opportunity to express gratitude to President Aliyev for Azerbaijan's support during the missile attacks on the UAE. The UAE leader acknowledged the Azerbaijani president's condemnation of those missile attacks, highlighting the supportive stance Azerbaijan has taken.

President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, thanked Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the outreach and reiterated his condemnation of Iran's missile and UAV attacks on the UAE. He emphasized Azerbaijan's continued support for the UAE, as previously communicated during a phone conversation on February 28. The discussion also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest between the two nations.
