Baku: Representatives of Azerbaijan's Food Safety Agency and Israel's Ministry of Health held a bilateral meeting to discuss the expansion of food trade, review import requirements, and explore the mutual recognition of food safety systems. The discussions focused on enhancing the trade relationship between the two countries by aligning food safety standards and import protocols.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the parties also exchanged views on prospects for exporting products of animal origin to Israel. This exchange is seen as a potential avenue for increasing trade volumes and diversifying the types of goods exchanged between the two nations.

The meeting was described as an important step toward expanding experience sharing and strengthening cooperation in the field of food safety. Both sides expressed interest in continuing their partnership in the future, highlighting the importance of ongoing dialogue and collaboration in achieving mutual goals in food safety and trade.
