Astana: Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kazakhstan Aghalar Atamoglanov held a working meeting with Yernar Lazar, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for International Affairs. The discussions emphasized the development of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations through various cooperative efforts.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on joint projects in energy and renewable energy sources. A significant topic was the implementation of the project to lay a fiber-optic cable along the bottom of the Caspian Sea, a venture poised to enhance connectivity between the two nations.
Additionally, both sides discussed their activities within international organizations, the preparation of high-level visits, and the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties. The importance of existing bilateral mechanisms, such as the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, was also highlighted.
The parties expressed optimism over Azerbaijan's involvement in the "C5+1" format, which they believe will further regional cooperation. They also conveyed confidence that the Joint Declaration signed in Washington on August 8, 2025, between the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia, would foster regional peace and facilitate the opening of transport and communication links, thereby expanding trade opportunities.
