Istanbul: Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu addressed the Second Conference of Transport Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), emphasizing the significant reforms in the global transport and infrastructure sector over the past 40 years. As Istanbul hosts this critical summit under the theme 'Strengthening Transport Connectivity to Deepen Fraternity Among OIC Member States,' the focus is on strategic partnerships and mutual trust among countries.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Uraloglu highlighted that the advancements in transport have transformed it from a simple means of movement to a key factor in promoting humanitarian solidarity, crisis management, and regional development. He described the conference as an essential platform for assessing current projects and improving connectivity within the OIC region.
In a video message to the attendees, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan underscored the country's aim to enhance integration with OIC member nations. He expressed the desire to develop cross-border corridors and generate additional value through collaborative projects, reinforcing the importance of unity and cooperation among Islamic countries.
