Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Focus on Media Cooperation and Disinformation Combat

Baku: A meeting took place at the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) with a delegation led by Rustam Ali, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, MEDIA told APA. Executive Director of the Media Development Agency Ahmad Ismayilov noted that friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are developing successfully and emphasized the importance of expanding partnership in the media sector.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ismayilov stated that applying advanced practices in this field, strengthening joint efforts in media literacy and combating disinformation, preserving quality and reliability in the information environment, and forming flexible and effective mechanisms in line with modern challenges are of particular importance.

Rustam Ali highlighted the importance of organizing experience exchange between relevant institutions and media entities, implementing joint projects, and combating the spread of fake and unreliable information. The sides also exchanged views on expanding mutual cooperation, strengthening information security, and ensuring sustainable development in the media environment.

Alisher Askarovich Suleymenov, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, stated that in the era of digitalization, coordinated activities and joint initiatives in the media sector contribute to forming a more sustainable and secure information environment. He also emphasized the importance of increasing mutual trust and creating joint communication platforms.
